My journey to website publishing success
For a few months, I have been working on this portfolio. And, I'm quite proud of where I am now. I have a long way to go with this portfolio, but it's been a fun ride.
Tonight, I decided I would take the plunge and get my website hosted with Bluehost. Here is my journey.
When I began searching, this seemed quite easy. I was having a lot of fun looking up the processes and I was excited to start.
Creating my account and making the payment was easy. What followed, not so much.
To my surprise, the procedures to host manually wasn't as easy as I though. I was lucky I had already used Filezilla's FTP service before, it helped a lot.
Once I was able to find my FTP information, I connected to my Bluehost server and transferred my files. This was slow, but uneventful.
Once all files transferred, no longer was I able to see anything when viewing my site. I was confused. However, I eventually, after lots of googling, figured out that my files were in the wrong spot. Oops.
Now, all is good in the world. My site is up!
